Preface
The practical basis of any religion is to create peace, tolerance, goodwill, love and harmony amongst all human beings, in relationship to the living God their creator.
The purpose of God’s revelation in these books is to announce that, through His son, Jesus Christ our Lord, He has offered every one of us eternal life in His glory already.
He has prepared a spiritual space in His Kingdom for every one of us. If you leave yourself out in the cold, you have yourself to blame.
Did Jesus Christ not Himself say: “no one goes to the Father except through me”? Whether you accept it or not, whether you know it or not, Jesus Christ has made an instant and personal commitment to all humanity. He is prepared to accept people of all races, all religions, all nations, all social strata into the Kingdom of His Father.
Knowing fully well that, He designed our physical life as a passing phase only, God has thus opened the gate of heaven to everyone.
The cardinal words to describe the very important mission of Jesus Christ on earth are love, peace, reconciliation, forgiveness, goodwill, hope and togetherness.
Jesus Christ came and lay down His physical life. His successful experiment with “death” (sloughing on the cross), is living testimony or concrete proof of God’s will to transform all of us into eternity.
It is appropriate at this juncture, to consider the place of the different religions in all of this. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Confucianism, Baha’ism and any other religion have as basic responsibility: to model our lives in a way acceptable to God.
No one needs to change their faith as long as the basic principles of the goodwill mission of Jesus Christ are kept. Keep your faith but change your evil ways and live a life that is worthy in God's eye. Then you are a real Christian, no matter what religion you belong to. There is equality in God’s eye amongst all religions that profess good relationships amongst all human beings.
The common enemy of all humanity is Satan. Let us all pull our souls together and fight his evil everyday.
What I am talking about is the form rather than the format. The most important thing is to worship the living God, and through that worship relate God’s love to other human beings without discrimination of any nature. In our different religions, let us serve God’s purpose.
Putting this differently, Christianity, if this relates to Jesus Christ, is a universal philosophy embracing everyone, no matter their creed or kind. Jesus Christ is the melting pot of all religions. The gate of heaven has thus been thrown wide open to everyone, not restricting it to any particular sect, religion or group of people. Every person has thus been invited to be the guest of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
The question that begs an answer is, are we in our different religions prepared to take the offer made by Jesus Christ? Are we ready to spend the future beyond the “blue line” enjoying the fruits of eternal glory? Or are we taking the unenviable option of spending our days in the eternal penitentiary of sin?
God’s mission on earth is never ending. He continues day in, day out to appeal to all generations of human beings.
Here again in “New Life”, is yet one of those occasions where God comes out guns blazing, straight to your doorstep, to launch a personal appeal. He comes out to speak in simple, human and today’s language that you can understand. He wants to be your friend and your helper.
God is reaching out to you today and now; wherever you may be, whatever you are doing, whatever or whoever you worship. God is prepared to give you a “New Life” right away if you turn to Him.
God is asking you to do just one thing that is so simple: “love your neighbour”. Would you listen?
God is no longer a mystery or a nebulous concept, far away out of view somewhere in the Universe. He has actually come into your home, into your soul, and is there everyday just waiting for you to say “yes”. “Yes” to the silent, warm, persistent and friendly voice which warns you when Satan the devil is around with his antics.
Would you dare despise the things and diversions of the world to pay attention to Him? Would your greed and ignorance allow you to break away from evil and stand up to be counted?
At the dawn of the third millennium AD, can we afford to continue living in the shame of sin?
Let us treat the name of the living God with reverence, for He is the one who gave us life; and in whose hands our lives lie.
Let us not spend our lives on earth wondering around purposelessly like lost sheep, rendering our souls fertile land for evil to thrive on.
Let us avoid being a source of misery or death for other human beings.
Let us not waste our lives quarreling, gossiping, stealing, accumulating wealth and executing Satan’s evil.
Let us extend a hand of friendship to all human beings, no matter their kind, colour or creed.
Let us give each other a little something. That little something is tolerance of each other ’s differences and compromise.
All human beings are equal and are of the same value to God, our maker.
Let us radiate God’s love to each other, so that the world, in which we have a short time to live, may be a comfortable experience for everyone.
Let all nations and peoples share a common and collective desire to live in harmony and peace with one another. War weapons will then be relegated to the museum; where the story of a sad human past will be engraved to warn future generations.
Let us share the treasures of the earth for each other ’s benefit.
Let one man ‘s pain be another ‘s worry.
Let God ‘s love run throughout our ragged souls and bring to you and me, a new hope and a new direction, so that we may live in His glory from day to day into eternity.
God who rules the Universe, I will be with you always. Because I am sure that you are my source of strength and riches. I am sure that Satan and his evil machinations will disappear at the sight of you. I am sure that you will give me glory in the life hereafter. Glory be your name from eternity to eternity.
